Dr. Jennifer Nadelmann, MD received her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
She then completed her internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and her Ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. During her residency, she was the President of the House Staff Governing Council from 2020-2021. During her residency, she was awarded the “Excellence in Medical Student Teaching Award.” She then completed her fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.
She is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. She has hospital privileges at Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital. She has authored book chapters and several original scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals such as the British Journal of Ophthalmology, JAMA Ophthalmology, Retina, OSLI Retina, Eye (London) and Documenta Ophthalmologica. She has also presented at numerous national conferences.
Dr. Nadelmann treats medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous and performs all retina-related procedures and surgeries. Her clinical interests include retinal detachment repair, macular surgery, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular disease, and treatment of cataract surgery complications.
Dr. Nadelmann will be seeing patients in the Madison, New Haven, and Hamden offices and is currently accepting new patients.
Dr. Nadelmann lives in Connecticut and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, swimming, and playing tennis.
